I’m a bit overwhelmed. Assembling the six new storage cabinets was the easy part, but sorting out my collections of beads, embellishments, and components by type, color, size, etc., is going to take much longer than I anticipated. It really was time I tackled this task. The photo above shows just a fraction of what was tucked away in drawers, boxes, baskets, and bags. I’ve rediscovered beads that had been stashed in such obscure places, that I’d forgotten I had them. My collection of Swarovski stones and crystals is enormous (note to self: must design cuffs that use rectangular 18mm x 27mm stones and 27mm rivolis!!!) and I definitely have more beads than I will ever use. In the coming weeks, I’ll be assembling several wonderful collections of Treasure Box Travel Tins filled with tubes of beautiful beads to list in my Etsy shop…I’ll let you know when they’re available. But for now, I’m back to sorting and creating order from this mound of chaos. And this is just the ‘tip of the iceberg”…organizing my metals studio comes next!
At the moment…

Looks like a very nice way to be able to view what you have. I like those. Thanks for sharing.
The trays really do work wonderfully! I’ve been using them for a few years, but always stacked them. It’s much easier with the new cabinets as they slide in an out like shallow drawers.
