Barbara Briggs Designs Components
My offering of components changes constantly. Below are examples of items I have made that are now or have been for sale. Please check my Etsy shop for present offerings.
Ready for some fun?  I’ve just finished a colorful 23″ long necklace composed of a geometrically beadwoven link, polymer clay components, and a sterling silver clasp.  I made more polymer clay components than I needed and  I’ve divided them into color-coordinated groupings that can be used in bracelet, necklace, and earring designs.  The geometric beadwoven links range in length from 35mm to 50mm. Each grouping is threaded onto the stem of a sturdy wire-worked handmade heavyweight safety pin for safe keeping. Best of all, once you remove the components, the safety pin can be reused as a brooch upon which you can dangle beads, ribbons, found objects, or whatever fun elements you desire! Measuring approximately 60mm in length, the safety pins can be worn on sweaters , as wrap pins or even used as an element in a necklace design.

Here is an assortment of handmade polymer clay beads with 2mm holes and a 1.5mm silver-plated brass bangle (fits 6″ – 6.5 wrist) with ball end that unscrews so you can add or subtract beads and other elements as you choose. Please note: this is not a kit with instructions…the bangle and beads are components that you can use as elements in your own design. To give you an idea of what you can make, the third photo shows a finished bangle that I made using some of the same polymer clay components offered here with the addition of other elements from my private cache.

Here an assortment of black/green faux stone polymer clay beads and a hand wrought bronze fibula (ancient term for an ornate safety pin). This grouping is threaded onto the stem of a sturdy wire-worked handmade elegant safety pin for safe keeping. Best of all, once you remove the components, the pin can be reused as a brooch upon which you can dangle beads, ribbons, found objects, or whatever fun elements you desire! Measuring65mm in length, the safety pin can be worn on sweaters , as wrap pins or even used as an element in a necklace design. These color coordinated beads can be used in any number of projects…let creativity be you guide! Measurements of the beads are as follows; (shown in third photo) 10mm, 10mm, 14mm, 20mm, 25mm and round center bead 16mm. Hole sizes range from 2 to 3mm and can easily be drilled larger.

This lovely little collection of ten beads/embellishments are individually handmade of polymer clay by me and no two are exactly alike. The lustrous bronze iridescent finish resembles that of 22k gold! They are perfect for adding to bead-embroidered projects or to use as tiny buttons or used as embellishment on paper art! Measuring approximately 10mm in size, each petite flower disk can be attached with glue or stitching.
