I’ve just finished my Floral Brooch! Comprised of Delica, seed, magatama, and drop beads and accented with a Czech glass hematite bullet bead, the brooch measures one and one-half inches in diameter, it’s the perfect accessory for clothing or home décor! I believe the backside of a piece should be as attractive as possible and thought a long time about which type of clasp to use.
I could have used a manufactured jewelry pin back, but instead decided on a simple brass safety-pin backing, which I’ve accented with sequins and seed beads. I’m very pleased with the results! My next project will be another brooch and this time I’ll be taking process photos and writing a step-by-step tutorial to accompany it. Stay tuned!
That is beautiful and I love a nice brooch!
Thank you, Marcia! I have the perfect hat to wear it on!
Oh my that’s just lovely! Love how you’ve dressed up the safety pin 🙂
Thank you, Vee! I’m loving it too and am working on another as well as a tutorial for it!
Hi Barbara,
Have you done a tutorial for this very lovely Pretty as a Passion Flower? If so, please let me know where I can find it.
Thanks, Betty
Betty, I’m working on the tutorial for the Floral Brooch at this very moment and hope to have it finished and listed in my Etsy shop (www.barbarabriggsdesigns.etsy.com) some time next week!
Love your broach & am looking forward to the tutorial.
Thank you, Rose! It’s a really fun project!
