I’ve just received notification from Fire Mountain Gems and Beads that my “Sea Dragon Wrap Variation” and “Mermaid Cuff” have made it to the second round of judging in the 2015 Seed Bead Jewelry-Making Contest! These designs, inspired by Kate McKinnon’s book, “Contemporary Geometric Beadwork”, represent a hundreds of hours of work, from design concept to choosing colors and writing the tutorials as I beaded these pieces. I won’t know for several months if they make it to the final judging, but I’m very pleased to have made it this far!
Woohoo!

So awesome for you!

Both very deserving designs. Intricate but elegant in their simplicity. Hope they go through to the finals! Well Done!
Good luck, Barbara! Both pieces are awesome.
