Since it’s creation five years ago, the “Shell and Spines” Cuff” tutorial and beading kit in Neutral colourways has been most often requested. Although colourways in Ocean (blues, greens, purples) and Coral (pinks, peach, and bronze) are popular, it is the Neutral tones (I’ve just replenished daggers, seed beads, crystals, and made more polymer clay seashell buttons in neutrals!) that seem to evoke memories of walking carefree along a stretch of beach and feeling the warm grains of sand beneath one’s feet or running through the azure waves and collecting seashells left behind as the tide recedes. Perhaps it is the warmth of the sun on one’s face, gentle caressing breezes, and the overwhelming sense of well-being that predominates on such vacations. If the creation of a piece of art jewelry can bring all that to mind, I believe it’s a bit of magic!
