It’s time for some very serious spring cleaning in my studio. This is my workbench where I hammer, saw, rivet, and work wire and sheet metal. It’s a disaster area and it’s just the tip of the iceberg! The counter where I have my metal clay kiln, tumbler, sanding belt, and all manner of materials for applying chemical finishes is a colossal mess, as is my soldering station. In another room, I have a large tabl
e where I work with metal clay at one side and polymer clay on the other and it is cluttered beyond belief. I bead in yet another room and there are plastic tubes, containers, and bags of beads that need sorting, kits to assemble, beading related paraphernalia that has to find space in which ever drawers, cabinets, bins they belong in. Being the perfectionist that I am, how did this happen? Perhaps I can blame it on mischievous fairies or nasty little gremlins that haunt my work space while I sleep! No, you wouldn’t believe that, would you? I guess I just have too many projects going at once and too many ideas floating around in my brain. And never enough time! Well, that’s it…I’m just going to have to put everything aside and carve out some serious time to tidy things up. I think I’m going to be very busy with drudgery for a while!
