I've been playing with resin these past few days and having tremendous fun! Although I've used resin in some of my previous pieces, this is the first time I've used Ice Resin which cures to a crystal clear finish with no yellowing. This resin pendant contains many inclusions - text, glass shards, tiny rhinestone "diamonds", and ribbon. It is suspended from a fine silver twig, one of many I cast in a silversmithing class taken years ago at the College of DuPage. I love having a stockpile of goodies - especially cast twigs! A beautiful quartz drusy dangles at the bottom. The drusy is faceted on the backside and the resin shows on both sides of the pendant making this piece reversible and very versatile.
