from the Lapidary Journal/Jewelry Artist Metalsmith Essential series recently arrived in my mailbox and I'll be watching them while I work with bronze metal clay this week. I've long been an ardent fan of the hammers Bill Fretz makes and I've acquired a nice collection of them as well as a set of his mini forming stakes. In the twenty-plus years that I've been working with metal, I've not really delved into forming metal with hammers. I've relied on my hydraulic press to do that. So this will be a new adventure that I'm very much looking forward to. It will be like taking classes with the master himself! Can't wait!
