The Midas Touch!

I'm so pleased with these seashell buttons and embellishments.  All that glitters is not gold, but bronze metal clay gives the same rich colors that one would expect with the real thing at a fraction of the cost.   These pieces were rotated in a jeweler's tumbler for about two hours.  It's amazing how much the colors resemble yellow, red, and green gold.  If I want to alter these further, I have the option of using a brass brush to create a subtle brushed finish or I can use liver of sulfur or Jax Brass and Bronze Darkening solution to give them an aged look.  How versatile is that!
