Spring and Flora

I have the answer.  I've been emersed working on floral beads in polymer clay of late and it just occurred to me that it all has to do with the influence spring is having on me.  Even the latest silver metal clay firing contained flower shapes.  I've been out walking through our prairie and I see green sprouting everywhere and the tiny blossoms of Shooting Star and Hepatica bursting forth...yes, of course, that's why I'm into the flora theme and the colorful beads!  The fiddleheads of emerging ferns, Jack in the Pulpit, and Bluebells are making their appearance in the shade garden as well.  We even have blue birds in residence!  As much as I need to be in the studio creating, it's definitely time to put on my wellies and head out to do a spring cleanup!
