Polymer Clay Mania...

has struck again!  A set of tools used for carving both metal and polymer clays may work beautifully, but if they have wood grips that all look alike, it slows the process.  Polymer clay remedied that by transforming the handle of each carving tool into a unique work of art.  I used a floral theme...possibly because the days are now growing longer and a few days of melting snow teased me with the notion that spring is fast approaching!  Each tool is dressed in a different floral pattern to facilitate easy selection of the carving end.   With just a glance I'll know which tool has a flat or angled chisel edge, or a "U" or "V" shaped tip.  Having artfully decorated tools makes them more fun to use and if  in a class situation, it's a lot easier to keep track of one's tools!
