I’ve just revamped one of my older tutorials. Several years ago I created the “Interlocking Rings” bracelet followed by the “Beaded Bronze Links” bracelet. The beaded links are similar in that they are both made using Peyote stitch, but the links in one design are smaller and denser than those in the other. I decided to re-release the tutorials as one with directions for making both bracelets. The “Beaded Bronze Links” tutorial includes directions for making bronze metal clay links, but they could also be made with silver, copper, and other alloyed metal clays as well as polymer clay. For those who do not work in metal or polymer clay, there are alternatives. You can simply bead all the links or substitute bronze, copper, nickel, or aluminum washers from the hardware store. They can easily be hammer textured and rounded out in a dapping block. The step-by-step tutorial is easy to follow and accompanied by large color photos. These bracelets work up rapidly and are great take-along projects. And wouldn't they be fun made up as necklaces, too!
