I love my UPS man – he keeps bringing me goodies! This is a disk cutter and shaping set which comes in a lovely wooden box. With this set, I’ll be able to make round disks, 120 degree cone-shaped disks, and precise washers from 1/4″ up to 5/8″ inch in diameter. You start by cutting out a metal disk from sheet and setting it aside. The hole in your sheet metal (dead soft silver, copper, etc.,) become the inside diameter of the washer that will be made. You then choose a larger outside diameter hole in the disk cutting set, locate the center of the hole using the matching convex center finder, and then carefully replace it with the disc cutter. Strike a blow on the disk cutter and voila! A perfect washer emerges! These will make great earring and bracelet components. I can’t wait to play with this!
