More Fortuny inspiration…

PolymerClay_FortunyCamilia_Ring

My ring collection just keeps growing and growing! My previous post showed the first ring in what is fast becoming a series of Spanish fashion designer Mariano Fortuny inspired pieces. Created with polymer clay that is accented with acrylic paint, this ring is titled “Fortuny Camellia” with its many pleated petals that remind me of the pleated layers of gossamer fabric designed by Fortuny. It’s definitely a statement piece of jewelry measuring 40mm wide by 25mm high…nothing demure about this ring! Incidentally, the adjustable ring shank is made of hammer-textured bronze wire.  If you work in polymer clay and like to make rings, I have ring shanks available in your choice of bronze or steel wire in my Etsy shop.
