To test my “Forbidden Fruit” Drop Earrings tutorial, I made a second pair in a luscious passionflower colourway of lavender and lime with just a touch of luster rust, deep burgundy, and metallic green for contrast. Until now, my geometric beadwork has been solely woven with Delica and 15/0 seed beads. Magatamas and Drop beads were used purely as accents at the tips of Horns and Wings (inspired by CGB). This time around Magatama and Drop beads are integral to the design, creating the look and feel of seed pods dotting the "fruit". I’ve altered the stems slightly on this pair. Although they measure in length exactly the same as the previous pair (see my post of July 15), the vine-like polymer wrapped portion is a wee bit longer and the coiled top portion of the wire-worked steel stem is just a bit shorter. I love both pairs equally! Now…onto the final tweak of the tutorial before I list it in my Etsy shop!
