Modern Art

Pablo's work inspired me a great deal at the time I created this piece.  I had just received a heavy two-volume set of "coffee table" size books on the life and art of Pablo

Picasso, and shortly thereafter, I created a small body of enameled work - mostly brooches and pendants  - which resembled tiny abstract paintings.  This brooch sports a cast twig and triangular-shaped stone.  A thin strip of bronze and 18k bi-metal adorn the sterling "frame".  I've titled this piece "Modern Art".  Several pieces from this collection may be seen at Brio Gallery in Galena, Illinois.
