That’s the title of this new book from Kalmbach Publishers. I’ve just received my copy and I’m delighted! The book features projects by twenty jewelry artists working in metal clay - the bracelet featured on the cover is my “Prairie Blossom” bracelet (directions for how to make it are on pages 49 through 53). Editor, Mary Wohlgemuth has done a fantastic job compiling the projects for this book and I wish there were more books like this on the market! My collection of jewelry-making books has grown over the years and is now quite extensive. Most of them are authored by one person offering his or her own "how to" projects - usually fifteen or more “one size fits all” tutorials, and while some of the projects may be quite interesting, others are often banal. However, when you have a publication that offers projects by an array of artists, odds are that each artist has contributed one of their very best designs. In the case of “Metal Clay and Color”, I think twenty heads are better than one!
