was the last class I took at Bead & Button. It was taught by Katie Baum and she has all the qualities a great instructor should have! She exhibits patience and explains the techniques thoroughly. Although I have made quite a few metal clay rings, I had never made one using a dichoric glass cabochon so this was a great opportunity to explore that technique. The glass is really beautiful and shimmers with a green, orange, or gold iridescent glow depending on the light. The second ring project entailed making a ring with a bezel set cubic zirconia. The stone I chose is a lovely deep olive green - very appropriate for the clover shape of the background. It was fun working with silver metal clay once again. I'm not using much these days because the price of silver clay is still exorbitant and I'm beginning to wonder if it will ever come down again!
