I’ve just ordered…

Hadar Jacobson’s metal clay sample pack…it’s on the way!  Having only experimented with PMC, Art Clay Silver, and BRONZclay, I’m eager to see the results of working with and firing Hadar’s clays, which are available not only in fine silver, bronze, and copper, but also in white bronze, rose bronze, and steel too!  The sample pack contains small containers all of the above except for silver.  One nice feature of her clays is that they come in powder form which extends their shelf life indefinitely.   The binder is in the powder and all one needs to do is add water and mix.  These powder clays contain no preservatives which supposedly can affect the feel and consistency of the clay.  I’m sure there will be a learning curve as the firing time and temperature differ from the clays that I’ve been working with.  It will be a bit of a challenge, but it’s definitely worth a try.  If you, or anyone you know, have used Hadar’s clays™, I very much welcome any tips or comments you can offer before I delve into working with these new metal clays!
