I have a modest collection of lampworked glass beads…

Included in my stash is a lovely large bead made by Dustin Tabor and a selection of beads made by Sarah Moran, Nikki Thornburg-Lanigan, and Stephanie Sersich to name a few.  My collection started with this bead, which I found at the 2006 Bead and Button show.  It’s a substantial bead measuring a hefty 22mm x 26mm and I love the bright red color accented with bumps of pale blue, lavender and black.  It has been in my special bead box all these years and I finally decided to do something with it.  Not wanting to “steal the thunder” from this spectacular bead, I’ve placed it on a simple sterling silver loop suspended from a bronze metal clay bail and accented with small bronze metal clay disks on either side of the bead.  A simple sterling chain is the final touch.
