My "Coneucopia" Brooch is on its way home! I'd sent it to Kate McKinnon for inclusion in "Contemporary Geometric Beadwork - Volume II"...it's shown on page 53! Cool midwest Autumn weather has descended on Illinois and I'm looking forward to wearing the brooch on my woolen sweaters. Having worked primarily with Wings and Horns, "Coneucopia" was my first and only attempt at making a beaded Cone. It was an interesting experiment and although I love the end result, I find that working with Cone shapes is not my favorite thing to do with geometric beading. I won't have a pattern or kit available for the "Coneucopia" Brooch, but you can learn how to make a beaded cone by following one of Kate's very helpful videos. If you love geometric beading and haven't ordered your copy, you're missing out on some great ideas and wonderful "eye candy"!
