Have I mentioned that…

I love tools! And after making jewelry for over thirty years, I still add to my collection! Over the past several years I’ve purchased beautiful Fretz rose-wood handled hammers in several sizes with all manner of forming heads…they are an absolute joy to use! Another tool I can’t live without is my dapping block. It’s indispensable for forming spheres from sheet metal, but because it’s made of steel and is so heavy, I ordered the dapping/bench block combo shown in the forefront to take to jewelry-making classes. I haven’t taken in-person classes in two years, but still find it useful on my workbench…the steel block is sturdy for pounding, but the daps in the wood block also serve to hold components. Win-win!
