Half Gone!

I can hardly believe that summer is already half over!  I'm going to have to tear myself away from my workbench and make time to cozy up in a willow chair on the front porch with a good book. It's time to take advantage of what summer weather we have left.  Our winters here are so long and, and aside from the howling winds, there is so much silence.  No sweet bird songs to listen to then.  No night music from the crickets and frogs in the pond and the river below us.  And no lovely flowers to admire.  Yes, today is the day...I'm heading outside right now to take in Mother Nature!
