I really like this pendant...it reminds me of a compass with its appendages pointing North, East, South, and West. It sports a large cabochon of pale Chalcedony at the top and oval cabs of Coral at both sides. Gemstones of Carnelian, Amethyst, and Garnet grace a silver triangle that points South. In the very center, set in a hollow-formed pray box is an antique carved conus shell from the country of Mauritania in Northwest Africa. I've aptly titled this piece "Wanderlust Compass" and placed it on a long, adjustable chain. A small cross-shaped fob featuring a carnelian gemstone dangles from the end of the chain and drapes down my back serving as both ornament and counterweight. I wonder where in the world this "compass" pendant will take me!
