Getting there....
This latest geometric piece is my interpretation of the Sea Serpent design from Kate McKinnon's book, Contemporary Geometric Beadwork. It is taking far longer to weave than the two bracelets I made previously. Starting with a foundation of modified raw angle weave consisting of 150 units (twice the amount that I started with for my Empress Ming's Cuff), it has grown considerably and will wrap thrice around the wrist. It will have ten wings, increasing the longest row to 550 beads across! I'm now forming little horn tips by decreasing the number of beads at the sides of each wing. Considering that I'm also writing directions and taking process photos as I go along, I think I'm making remarkable progress!
