Fused glass treasures from class...

FusedGlass

Aside from enameling, I had never worked with glass, but had always been tempted by the beauty of fused glass cabochons, so when I saw that a class in glass fusing was offered at Bead&Button, I didn’t hesitate to sign up! These are the pieces that I made in class and I’m very pleased with them. I love the depth and underlying color combinations! Although I have two kilns that could readily be used for this process, I’ve decided that it’s not something I want to pursue...I would have to buy glass supplies that I really don't have room to store and I already have too many interests and far too little time in which to do it all! One can easily achieve the look of fused glass with resin, which does not require firing and annealing and is something I have better control over. In fact, as soon as I finish the beaded cuff I’m presently working on, I plan to take a few days to create some resin art pieces, which I’ll use in my work. I may even make several new resin components to list in my Etsy shop!
