I'm back at my jeweler's bench, although I'm taking it easy on the hammering. I don't want to aggravate my elbow! A few months ago I posted a photo of a set of travel sized makeup brushes that I had covered in polymer clay. Here's a new take on the clay covered makeup brush concept. I'd had this mini brush for some time and it seemed a shame to have it just rolling around in a drawer. With its soft white fluffy bristles, I thought it would make a novel pendant and an interesting mixed media project. An impressed design enhances the polymer clay covered wood handle and a forged silver wire loop, embellished with a bronze metal clay disc on each side, serves as a decorative bail. The pendant is suspended from 30" sterling silver chain with a toggle/clasp closure. I'm very pleased with the zen-like quality of this finished piece.
