Just as Goldilocks found that Baby Bear's bed was "just right", when it comes to beading tension, I think mine is just right...neither too tight nor too loose. But it seems that over time and having been worn often, my bead work tends to stretch a bit. Does your beadwork do likewise? When I finished my "Empress Ming's Cuff" (inspired by the Wings and Horns in CGB), it fit perfectly and was snug as a glove, but now it feels slightly larger and doesn't have the same close fit that it had when it was newly finished. The remedy is easy...I am creating an inner sleeve by adding several rows of Peyote stitch using Delica beads along the inside edge of the cuff where the Wings start to flare. It will make the cuff marginally smaller, and at the same time it will provide additional structure, giving the cuff more substance. I love that such simple and effective remedies are available to give beaded pieces a new lease on life!
