Dustin Wedekind and Kate McKinnon...

are working on a new book titled "Geometrics" which will be published next spring.  The book is available for pre-order on Kate's website and it promises to be filled with interesting patterns and designs...I'm looking forward to it!  If you enjoy working with seed beads and have wanted to try your hand at three-dimensional designs, this book may be of great interest to you.  I've been playing with their pre-publication pattern - the Tri Wing Ring.  Of course, I always deviate from written patterns as my sense of adventure takes reign with questions such as "I wonder what will happen if I increase a bead here or change the size or type of bead or use a different number of beads with extra rows?"  Shown at left is my first result.  I think it might make a wonderful bezel for bead embroidery.  I might encase polymer clay inside of it!
