Bittersweet…

Creating is somewhat like giving birth. One starts with ideas after having honed skills in a particular field (always an ongoing process for me!), purchases the materials necessary for the execution of a piece, and when finished, finds it next to impossible to send those pieces into the world. The time has come to relinquish some of the jewelry pieces that I’ve made…the pieces I simply couldn’t let go of because they took so long to create or the materials were very expensive or the concept is so close to my heart. I’ve been particularly reluctant to sell finished beaded pieces, especially the ones I designed for beading kits and tutorials, but it is time to let others enjoy having them. So, over the coming months you’ll see one-of-a-kind pieces in my Etsy shop. I’ve just listed Collection I (above) and Collection II (below)…the beaded bracelets are mixed media projects and are composed of seed beads, fine silver, and polymer clay. Incidentally, tutorials for making my “Potpourri” bracelet and “Bedazzled Spiral Cuff”, “Floral” and “Marine Life” brooches and the pair of asymmetrical earrings shown here, as well as several kits are also available should you wish to make these yourself…take a look!
