I’d made these earrings a while ago. I was pleased with the design, but every time I put them on they just didn’t feel right. The long stem was too flexible and there wasn’t enough weight to make them swing and sway
. They clearly needed more substance! My solution was the addition of two spiral sleeves of oxidized sterling silver wire placed over the stems. Although the wires somewhat obscure the colors in the stem, the trade-off is positive in terms of additional interest and stability. Adding oxidized jump-rings and tiny ball-shaped brass dangles was the finishing touch. I should call these my Goldilocks earrings - now they are "just right"!
