Beading on a Jet Plane

Whenever I’m on the road, I take a good book and a beading project along.   I love that beading is so portable and easy to travel with!  I have a 4″ x 6″ x 1″  tin container that holds a beading mat and needles, my child safe Fiskars round tipped scissors (which won’t be confiscated by the airline), a tiny plastic spool that I’ve prewound  with Fireline, a tube of Delicas, a tiny box of 15/0 seed beads, and 15/0 charlottes.  I have also packed Thread Heaven which seems to add a bit more heft to the Fireline, and I’m taking five 27mm x 18.5mm Swarovski rectangular crystals to bezel.  They will become part of a lovely, bold bracelet.  And it all slips conveniently into a pocket in my tote bag.  Unfortunately, I can’t take my 5x magnifying lamp with me, so I have to rely on a pair of peepers hanging on my nose in front of my regular eyeglasses – how attractive!
