I used to do art fairs. That was twenty-five plus years ago. At a show in Baltimore, a customer asked if I could make a plain silver cuff for her and as I did do commissioned work back then, I agreed to create one for her. I decided to make one for myself as well and all these years I’ve only worn it a few times. Whenever I put it on I realized that, although it had a textured surface, it just didn’t speak to me. This week I decided to remedy that aspect and added a large turquoise focal and small gemstones of lapis lazuli, chrysoprase, turquoise, and coral, along with several silver embellishments. Now it finally makes a statement and you can bet I’m going to wear it!
