As promised...

this is the second piece I made in Susan Lenart Kazmer's "Non-traditional Forms in Wire:  Bird's Nest" class.  It's a bangle of hammered bronze wire pieces woven and wrapped together.  I colored the bronze wire by lightly torching the metal.  I added patches of patina to the bangle with dabs of Gilders Paste and embellished it with ribbons and various fibers, pearls and crystals.  Dangling from the bangle is a brass spent shell casing that sports additional ribbons.  Two words "Endless" and "Day" are affixed with resin to the shell casing.  I really love working in mixed media.  It allows you to look at everyday objects in a different way...to take the ordinary and turn it into something extraordinary!
