Another piece for Brio Gallery!

I definitely prefer working in mixed media.  A multitude of design options are possible when one has a variety of materials with which to create.  I think pieces made with metal, as well as polymer and/or epoxy resin clays are far more interesting than they would be if only a single material were used.  This piece incorporates the above materials, as well as pearls.  The twig is made of cast bronze wrapped with sterling silver wire. Bronze metal clay seashells are embedded in epoxy resin clay.  There is an additional feature - flip the pendant over and you’ll find a sheet of textured polymer clay encased in the backside of this reversible silver pendant.  Titled “Earth-Sea Talisman”, it will be included in my trunk show at Brio Gallery in Galena, Illinois.
