An “Empress Ming’s Cuff” is my next project, but first…

Embellishments_PMC

It’s time to replenish the stock of components in my Etsy shop. I’ve had many requests for fine silver sea-themed and flower disk embellishments, but have resisted making them because of the high cost of silver metal clay. With a 16 gram  package of silver metal clay going for roughly $40, components made of fine silver will, of course, be expensive. This photo shows approximately 45 grams of components, which have been fired, oxidized in liver of sulfur, and tumbled to a gleaming high shine. Until now, I’ve been offering these items in bronze metal clay, which is far more affordable.  However, there are times when an extraordinary project or one made with beautiful gemstone beads deserves the best.  I foresee a project or two that will definitely benefit from the addition of these petite, gleaming precious metal embellishments!
