It’s a perfect day. I’m making headway on the tutorial for my latest design, process photos of each step are loading smoothly and being edited with ease. The large-hole gemstone beads I’ve had on order for finishing the project arrived today as well as this beautiful antique Chinese sewing basket circa 1920’s that is embellished with coins, glass beads, and tassels. I plan to store these colorful gemstone strands and various other beading paraphernalia in it! I’m still waiting for several more strands of large-hole rondelle beads and they should arrive by the end of the week. Everything is falling into place and soon I will have finished the piece in several color combinations. The design combines a unique Geometric beaded component, shrink plastic, gemstone beads, and a very interesting focal bead that befits the theme of the design. After working on this project for most of the summer, I’m more than eager to debut the fruits of my labor! Having just come off several chaotic weeks and having little to show for time spent while mired in frustrating circumstance, I’m so thankful for this idyllic afternoon…I want this feeling of well-being to just go on and on and on!
