My down time is not being wasted. Although I still can't wield a hammer, I am able to do a bit of beading. It has been a good six months or more since I picked up a needle and thread and gathered a sparkly batch of seed beads, but that's just what I'm doing at the moment. I'm working on another cuff and documenting the process with photos and directions so that when it is finished, I'll have another beading kit to offer on my website. The cuff already has a title - Tide Pool. It will be composed of 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads, freshwater pearls, and tiny metal clay seashells. A silver metal clay seashell button will serve as the closure. At least, that's my plan. Of course, some new idea can pop into my brain at any moment and the design and elements may change on a whim. Perhaps the tiny seashells will be made of polymer clay! That's part of the fun and the spontaneity of it all!
