I enjoy looking at a piece of jewelry as if I were in a museum studying a work of art and imagining the story behind the brush strokes. Sometimes the story is quite evident and at other times, a vivid imagination is in order. This pendant is titled "Night Gallery". The colors are that of a garden in the early evening hours just after a spring shower. I see the violets in bloom and little droplets of rain glisten like diamonds on the window. A lovely young lady has dashed into the house to avoid the sudden cloud burst and, in her haste, left behind the book she has been reading in the quiet and restful seclusion amidst the flowers. That's the story this piece evokes in my mind. If I were the least bit stressed before I contemplated the above scenario, I'm not now. This pendant could serve as a talisman for someone who needs calm! The sterling silver picture frame bezel holds resin and text, a very tiny puzzle piece, and glass shard inclusions. A faceted 20mm chalcedony teardrop dangles at the bottom. The pendant is suspended from 16 gauge argentium sterling wire and an oxidized wrapped wire sphere sits just below the bail. I like this piece very much!
