A Night for Dr. Frankenstein

I shudder to even contemplate what manner of creature Dr. Frankenstein might have created last night.  We had a massive storm with torrential rain and abundant lightning which would have been the perfect storm for Mary Shelly's story.  Fortunately for me, we didn't lose our electricity as I had started firing a kiln load of metal clay before the storm occurred.  All went well and I will have dozens of new pieces to add to my work.  Today will be spent work hardening, brushing, polishing, and adding patina to the fired metal pieces.  It's always fun to choose the process I will use for finishing a given piece and even more fun to see the result!
