If you’ve joined Shutterfly.com, you may recently have received an offer for a free 8” x 8” 20-page hardback book. Of course, nothing is totally free…shipping was extra, but it was impetus for me to create a book of my most recent works, which are all based on geometric beading. Shown on my computer screen is a preview of pages 2 - 3 with layouts of following page spreads shown along the bottom of the screen. All the beaded works shown in this book include several shots of the work in progress, which is something that wasn't included in a previous Shutterfly book I made last year. These shots of on-going stitching are something that I find interesting in juxtaposition to the glamour shots of the finished pieces. I managed to fill the 20 free pages and then some. Shown in the photo above on page 2 is the introduction and a small photo of a collection of my beaded bracelets being modeled. Page 3 features my "Mermaid" Cuff design (inspired by CGB - Volume 1). After seeing the preview online, I’m eager to hold my little book in hand…it should arrive in a few weeks!
