These yummy beads from SimplyBeads.com just arrived in my mailbox! It’s a nice selection of glass pearls and daggers. Small dagger beads (3mm x 10mm) are rather difficult to find these days. Most bead sellers have a plethora of larger daggers (5mm x 16mm and up) but few seem to be stocking the smaller size, which I prefer. The 3mm x 10mm are used in my “Shell and Spines” cuff design so whenever I find petite daggers, I snap them up! If you’ve found a good source for dagger beads in this smaller size, please share! I’m running low on the colors that I used in my prototype cuff (shown below), but the colors I’ve just received are so delicious, I’m tempted to do another cuff in a different colourway!
Ooohhh la, la…

Beadcats.com (Carol Perrenoud & Virginia Blakelock) have more daggers and glass bead shapes than you can imagine, and I’ve done pricing. They tend to be a few cents per bead cheaper, especially wholesale. They have good sales. It’s worth it to purchase their printed catalogue, or thier sample pages, because the website describes with words. I like their daggers for incorporating into 2-drop peyote, because they have some that are tapered at the hole end. They go to the Czech Republic for buying. Your kits are beautiful!!!Donna Faye Date: Sat, 21 Dec 2013 14:01:58 +0000 To: djfaye@hotmail.com
Thanks, Donna! I’ve purchased items from Bead Cats at the Bead and Button show but I have never ordered from them. I will look into it and see what they have. Thanks so much for the tip!
LOVE t his one!! Of course I like all of them but I really like the texture on this one, are you going to be selling kits or the instructions? Have a great Holiday . ~Erika

If you ever want to take a ride, you may want to check out Bodacious Beads in Des Plaines. Judy has a ton of daggers in all sizes – all Czech. Unfortunately they don’t have an online store but you always call – ladies there are all pros.
Always love looking at your creations and the amazing pieces you designed from Kate’s book.
Thanks for the info, Sandi! I’ll check them out next time I’m in Des Plaines.
