I can’t believe my polymer clay faux gemstone beads turned out so well! I’ve been to many a gem show and I have to say, the faux amber, coral, and turquoise look like the real thing to me! Who would think the tray of beads ready to go in the oven (see my February 6, 2016 post for the photo) would look so natural! Of course, there was a bit of elbow grease involved post baking…sanding rough spots, adding paint, and polishing with a buffing wheel. I’m so pleased and I can’t wait to start making some mixed media jewelry with these…ideas galore are dancing in my head!
