My neighbor had a birthday yesterday (Happy Birthday, Julie!) and received a bouquet of gorgeous roses of which I am the fortunate beneficiary because she left for vacation today. The fragrance is like a breath of summer – most welcome in our midwest winter weather. I have them on my beading table so I can enjoy them as I work. I seldom work in pinks and reds, but I am inspired by these blooms and have gathered my collection of vivid pinks, corals, roses, and lipstick reds Delica beads. My next beading project will definitely include some of these colors!
More inspiration!

Look forward to seeing what you make. It will be gorgeous with all those colors.
Alicia, at the moment I’m working on a wrist wrap in greens. I’m contemplating making another in vivid reds, oranges, and golds with black thrown in for contrast – I’m thinking sort of a fire dragon theme. Of course, by the time I finish the green piece, I may decide to do something entirely different depending on what strikes my fancy at that time. I seldom enjoy repeating a design once I’ve finished it, so the new piece would have to have some fresh elements that will keep the concept exciting!
Can’t wait to see what you make with these bright colours. I love reds and pinks.
Me either…and just in time for Valentine’s Day!
