Ever since I returned from Bead&Button with my new “Now That’s a Jig” tool and the tiny book, “Collaborate” (which is filled with wonderful mixed-media and wire working inspiration!), I’ve wanted to do more exploration with wire. I already had Brenda Schweder’s book, “Steel Wire Jewelry”, in my collection of art and craft books, so I pulled it off the shelf and read through it again. I just couldn’t wait to start playing! The result of this past weekend’s playtime resulted in a pair of wire drop components to which I added a “vine” of polymer clay and tiny drop beads. These components are just waiting to have a beaded bead made and attached to the bottom loop. I definitely need more play time!
I’ve been playing with wire…

Brenda, when I get around to make a really “Wow” piece, I’ll send you a photo!
