This photo was taken in San Francisco at Hotel Monaco’s restaurant, Le Brasserie, last August. I was quite taken with the splendor of the dining room, but what really caught my eye were thousands of tiny mosaic tiles that cover the tall columns. They sparkled and shimmered as they caught and reflected the sunlight pouring through the windows. Of course, I began thinking that a beaded bracelet of simple design woven with a mix of Delica and Tila beads in shades of beige, crystal, silver, and gold would be exquisite. It is fortunate that I took this photo because ideas for new designs are easily forgotten as I get caught up in the minutiae of daily events. The bracelet idea had all but evaporated into thin air, but with the photo as a reminder, it may well come to fruition!
Inspiration abounds…
