Issue 19 of “Bead Me” digital magazine is out and I’m so pleased to have an article featuring my mixed-media and beadwork included! Issue 19 is sea-themed and so much of my work fits into that genre…it seems that I’m always creating pieces that include seashells, pearls, and other components related to or from the ocean. Perhaps I was a mermaid in another life! The cover photo used for the article is shown here…a pin/pendant that I made when I was heavily into enamel work several years ago. Inspired by vacations in Hawaii, it is made of fine and sterling silver, 14k gold, coral, pearls, enamel over copper, and the seashells were collected on one of many beach combing expeditions. I'm so pleased!
