FireDragonWrap_AlmostFinishedI’m dying to start a new project, but must finish this first! It’s been a while since I’ve beaded a spiral wrap and I’d forgotten how long they can take to complete! Whatever beaded project I choose next, you can bet it will be something less ambitious! Granted, there has been a lot going on in my life other than beading during the past few months.  I actually began the Fire Dragon Wrap (inspired by CGB and my previous Sea Dragon wraps) at the end of August, but with all that’s been happening, taking process photos, and writing the tutorial as I go along, plus nursing a severe case of tendonitis in my left wrist, I have averaged less than a row per day; still I am getting close! Having finished the Winged and Horned portion of the wrap, I am now working on the channel that my memory wire will run through. Before I close up the channel, I need to sculpt a tiny dragon’s head from polymer clay that will be used to create a mold, into which epoxy resin clay and the end of my memory wire will be pressed before inserting the wire through the Wrap channel. When completed, I’m confident that my “Fire Dragon” Wrap will be quite the showpiece; a riot of flame-colored “scales” from which multiple Horns erupt! I’m really rather excited at the prospect of having this piece wrapped around my wrist!
