Studio - Tool StorageI think everyone would agree that one can never have too much storage, especially if you tend to collect a lot of tools and equipment used to create art. If you keep an open mind, you’ll be surprised how many household items can be facilitated for this purpose. Take this plant stand for instance. It has served me well over the past few years, first as a display for two potted plants in our screened porch and then as storage for a tower of bath towels in our guest bathroom. Having recently purchased a new cabinet for that room, I contemplated another use for the stand. I realized the open slats on the top of the plant stand would be perfect for hanging hammers and there was extra room to hold a cigar box filled with smaller tools. The base holds books as well as a rack for my Fretz stakes.Taking up just a square foot of floor space in my studio, it can be readily moved to the side of my workbench when needed. Very handy indeed!
