Fine silver cast twigs, sterling silver wire, drilled pebbles and nuggets of pyrite…I’m sorting through and selecting the pieces that will comprise my next pendant. I envision the piece I want to make…engineering it is the next step. I know I could save a lot of design time if I were one who liked to sketch designs, and it does make a lot of sense to work out a design on paper before actually starting to make a piece…I really should do that! Somehow, I’ve always just chosen materials that appeal to me and then start to physically arrange the design as I go along. I guess my brain is more comfortable designing in 3-D! Stay tuned…the finished pendant will appear in my next post!
What's on my workbench today…
